There was a quote that really resignated with me when I heard it. “In the way you do anything, you do everything”. I thought deeply about his quote for quite some time. Something in my head just clicked. If you want to be a champ you got to BE THE CHAMP. Being a champ is not something you just turn on and off. Its something that you are. Its not like Ronnie Coleman or Jay Cutler are chodes outside the gym then turn on the switch to become a warrior in the gym. They are a champ 24/7. Look at their diets and workout plans. Their diets are flawless. Ronnie himself probably would tell you he doesnt like half the foods he eats but does anyway. Becoming Mr. Olympia was his purpose and he wasnt going to let anybody stop him not even himself. When the day came for Mr. Olympia Ronnie could look himself in the mirror and know that he did everything he could to win that competition. Even if he had loss he could still hold his head high. That is what it means to be a champ. You decide what you want out of anything in life and you go for it 100%. You don't half ass anything. Doing anything with less then 100% effort is just a waste of time. So if you want to become a champ you have to own every part of your life. Hitting the gym cannot become something you just do cause you have to. You should be leaving the gym knowing that you put all that you had mentality and physically into your workout. If you cannot honestly say you didn't give your workout 100% your only cheating yourself.
